Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, was born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both of whom were lawyers. When she was a kid she was enrolled in her school, the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. From the age of six Emma was aware she would like to be an actor and for many years she studied at the Oxford Branch of Stagecoach Theatre Arts a part-time theatre school where she studied performing and singing. As part of a school production and an Stagecoach production, Emma took as the lead role at age 10, and acted. In 1999 casting began to cast Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the movie adaptation of British writer J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Emma was identified by casting agents through Emma's Oxford theater teacher. David Heyman, the producer of Harry Potter Harry Potter's Sorcerer's Stone, and Ron Weasley told Emma after the eight auditions that she'd been chosen for these parts. Emma was chosen to play alongside Daniel Radcliffe Rupert Grint and Rupert Grint. Emma's debut on screen took place with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's debut in 2001. This film was 2001's highest grossing film, breaking records at the opening and first weekend. Critics were impressed with the movie and its performances. The Daily Telegraph, an important British publication, described Emma's performances "amazing". Emma's performance was nominated and won five awards later for the movie.
